# Get started with a new community hub

Hub administrators are trusted community members who perform common administrative operations on a hub.

## What you can do

As a hub administrator, you can:

- Customize your hub environment (software, packages, interfaces) - see {doc}`environment/index`
- Add and remove users from your hub
- Start and stop user servers
- View monitoring dashboards
